Only a 2 hour drive south from Orange County is sunny San Diego, the perfect choice for a quick weekend getaway.
In the middle of the historic heart of the city is the vibrant Gaslamp Quarter. It is said that during the California Gold Rush, this waterfront area was called the Stingaree District, homes to saloons, gambling halls, brothels and opium dens. Today, this dynamic district is full of entertainment thanks to its more than 100 restaurants, 35 nightclubs and 100 retail shops making it a must-go if you're ever in San Diego.
Good food, crafted beer and exotic cocktails, wonderful venues, lights and music. 16 blocks of fun. What else could you need? Also, don't forget to check out the cute gas lamps all over the main street.
