Life is short: Get the Statement Bomber Jacket

Bomber jackets have been a permanent resident in my life for as long as I can remember. Even before they became a trend, I would swoon and drool at their layering abilities and magnificent statement nature, thus I'd quickly bring them home and put them into a heavy rotation in my wardrobe.

Now... some trends I follow and some I just feel ridiculous in, so I try my best to stay away. But bombers? I've always liked the plethora of styles in which they come: military, aviator, floral, satin, embroidered, varsity, oversized, etc. I've never liked cropped bomber jackets though... too velour Juicy Couture tracksuit for my taste. Unless it's this Miharayasuhiro jacket. However, that's not the point.

A few days ago when I walked in to Topshop and saw this beauty hanging on the rack, I knew I had to have it. It was the last one standing, and it was screaming my name. The only problem? It's an XL. But... Was it really a problem?

The answer is no. It wasn’t.

I grabbed that bomber jacket like I was rescuing a dog from a fire and ran to the register to drop some chelines on my new baby.

And here it is, with the most basic of outfits (a blush toned t-shirt and black ankle jeans) because this bomber can make anything look special, and that's one of  the talents I love the most about it.

Trying too hard to be a cool kid.

Look, no hands!

Giving somebody the stink eye with an imaginary cigarette.

There's a toucan on me.

Performing street magic.

Very Miami Art Deco in the 1950s.

What do you think? Would you buy something that's not your size just because you like it? Let me know in the comments below, I love to hear from you!
