The Broad's 1st Birthday

It seems like just yesterday when people where lining up for hours to go inside The Broad in DTLA and now, one year later, the museum's popularity has not changed a bit.

The contemporary art museum named after philanthropist Eli Broad still offers free general admission to its permanent collection galleries, and I must add that they are worth the wait. Inside you can find a nearly 2,000-piece collection, featuring 200 artists, including works by Cindy Sherman, Jeff Koons, Ed Ruscha, Andy Warhol, and Roy Liechtenstein.

If you find yourself roaming around DTLA go check out some of its marvels.

Here are some highlights:

Tulips by Jeff Koons

Mirror #1 by Roy Lichtenstein

Area dedicated to Roy Lichtenstein

The coolest boutique, where you can find perfect coffee table books and more.

Balloon Dog by Jeff Koons

My only question is: Can I take it home?!

Where is it?

221 S. Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90012
